Kota Coronavirus Update: The increasing cases of Corona in Rajasthan have increased the problems of the people. The number of patients infected with the new variant of Corona, JN-1, has also started increasing. In view of this, the medical department has started necessary preparations for its prevention and control. As a precautionary measure, the Health Department has given instructions to keep the necessary medical equipment, resources and treatment related systems functional and smooth in all the hospitals of the district. For this purpose, on the instructions received from the state level, necessary arrangements were made by organizing mock drills in all community health centres, primary, urban primary health centres, railways, ESI hospital and 9 private hospitals including hospitals affiliated to the medical college of Kota district. .
CMHO Dr. Jagdish Kumar Soni said that during the mock drill, availability of beds in hospitals, isolation beds, oxygen supported beds, ICU beds, ventilator beds, availability of medicines related to Covid treatment, main power and its capacity, referral facility (ambulance), testing. Facilities, logistics, medical oxygen, telemedicine facilities were examined. Apart from this, according to the geographical location of the district, a report was prepared after inspection and assessment on the points like availability of medical facilities, reporting etc.
‘Work instructions under Corona guidelines’
The medical department has been alerted after a corona infected patient was found in Kota. After which the administration inspected the medical services in all the major hospitals and other places. At many places, equipment was also checked through mock drills and the medical team was also tested. Chief Medical and Health Officer Dr. Jagdish Soni said that along with doctors, nursing staff are also being directed to work under the guidelines of Corona. During this time, officials have been asked to take all necessary steps to protect against Corona.
‘Mock drill done for serious situation’
According to Chief Medical and Health Officer Dr. Jagdish Soni, a mock drill has been conducted on how a serious situation of Corona will be handled if it arises. Along with oxygen, medicines related to Corona, bed masks and other things have been checked in the hospitals and instructions have been given to them. He directed that to prevent this, all the employees and medical staff of the medical department should wear masks, use sanitizers, maintain social distancing and also make people aware.
